Laying Plans

Laying Plans

I love to win, but I hate losing even more. And to prevent losing, we have to lay plans. To start, I want to mention that weactuallyare gamers here at SubZERO Gaming. While we aren’t professionals, we try our best to win every match we play. For a little background, my partner James and I have been in the competitive Counter-Strike scene since the good old days of CAL and mIRC in 2002. We continue to play and enjoy competing as much as we did as young lads because there is always room to improve, either as an individual or as a team. Given this, we want to create a space here at SubZERO Gaming to express, share, and cultivate our competitive nature in gaming.

We envision the SZ Training Grounds to have two distinct themes. The first theme will be broadly eSports-related ranging from tournament predictions to top plays at major LANs showcasing the pinnacle of skill in competitive gaming. The second theme will center around gameplay and strategic knowledge. At SubZERO Gaming, we have a long history with games in the Counter-Strike and DotA franchises. You can expect guides on topics such as top ward placements in DotA 2 and efficient pistol round strats in CS:GO. We also hope to release articles on mindset, maturity, and teamwork because gaming isn’t just about mechanical skill or game knowledge.

Gaming allows us to channel our competitive drive and will to win. This competitive spirit will always have more potential to thrive within a team environment. Therefore, we ask and encourage members in our community to submit original content and ideas to make the SZ Training Grounds an active forum where we can improve as players together and actually think about the way we play. Why? Because we hate losing. So, let’s win.
